Kl. 15 CitatworkshopDu inviteres hermed til at deltage i en citatworkshop, hvor citater/statements om interkulturelle kunstneres vilkår vil blive lavet ud fra billedkunstneren Amir Zainorins stempler. Citaterne vil blive brugt i formidlingen af Statens Kunstråds Interkulturelle Projekt, som forhåbentligt vil være med til at nedbryde nogle af de eksisterende barrierer, både indenfor og udenfor det eksisterende kunststøttesystem. Workshoppen er arrangeret som den diskursive ramme for den billedkunstneriske del af Invitation to the Possible. Tilstede vil også være formanden for Statens Kunstråds Billedkunstudvalg Elisabeth Toubro og lederen af Kunststyrelsens Billedkunstcenter Anette Østerby.

Arta Ghavami-Khesal og Amir Zainorin er begge optaget på Statens Kunstråds mentorordning for interkulturelle kunstnere. Er det en blåstempling fra det danske kunststøttesystem, at blive klassificeret i kategorien interkulturel kunstner? Hvilke barrierer indebærer en kategorisering som interkulturel kunstner? Og hvordan modtager danske kulturinstitutioner interkulturelle kunstnere?Dette og meget andet ønsker Arta Ghavami-Khesal og Amir Zainorin at debattere med deres videoinstallation/ performance skabt i forbindelse med Invitation to the Possible. Alle er velkomne til performancen.
Om Invitation to the PossibleHvad vil det sige at være interkulturel kunstner? Hvilke barrierer støder man på? Hvordan modtager samfundet og kulturinstitutionerne den interkulturelle kunst? Kan interkulturelle kunstnere i Danmark opnå støtte via de offentlige kanaler på lige fod med andre kunstnere? Hvem har nøglen til den globale kunst som kunstnerisk kategori, hvornår er kunst global, hvornår er den eksotisk? Er interkulturelle kunstnere underlagt (selv-) censur?

15.00 Quote Workshop
You are invited to attend a workshop where quotes / statements on intercultural artistic conditions will be created from rubber stamps produced by the artist Amir Zainorin. These collected quotations will then be used in the dissemination of the Danish Arts Council Intercultural Project, Invitation to the Possible, which will hopefully help to break down some existing barriers, both within and outside the existing arts system. The workshop is organized as a discursive platform within the framework of the visual arts. Present will be the chairman of the National Arts Council Committee, Elisabeth Toubro and the head of Visual Arts Board, Anette Østerby.
Registration for the workshop by Tuesday 7 / 12 to Inger Krog Arts Board Visual Arts Center at ingerk@kunst.dk, max. 20 participants. The workshop will take place in English and Danish.
16.00 Performance / Video Installation
Arta Ghavami-Khesal and Amir Zainorin have both been accepted to the Danish Arts Council’s mentor programme for intercultural artists. Is it a seal of approval from the Danish art support system to be classified as an intercultural artist? What barriers might this involve? And how do Danish cultural institutions receive intercultural artists? These are some of the questions that Ghavami-Khesal and Zainorin will put up for debate in their performative video installation created as a part of the Arts Council’s interdisciplinary seminar Invitation to the Possible. With a documentary style and rich associating soundtrack, the audience is invited to an event where the artists themselves act as the physical exemplification of the labelled artist.
Everyone is welcome to the performance.
